"Sittin' In" with Helen Borgers

“Sittin In” is a one hour jazz music and interview show featuring artists that range from the greatest names in jazz to the best of the “up and comers”!

Each week, host Helen Borgers invites a different jazz artist to “sit In” on her nationally syndicated public radio show. WIth a 30 year tenure in jazz radio, Helen and most of the musicians and artists who visit are on a first name basis.

In the studio with Helen, guests get d.j. duty. They bring the music to go with the great stories that make one terrific show! And occasionally listeners are treated to some exciting surprises—new and/or unreleased music from the private collections of professional jazz artists for the exclusive enjoyment of Sittin' In listeners. read more >

Exclusive "Shoemake/Shearing" Project UNRELEASED Tracks!
Vibraphone master Charlie Shoemake slipped into our mobile studio set up backstage at last year's "West Coast Jazz Party" in Irvine, California. We ran into Charlie in the hallway and he kept teasing us with a CD he was carrying, the unreleased, audition tracks for a new touring act, "The Sounds Of Shearing". We agreed to sit down and talk about it if Charlie ducked upstairs and brought us down a copy. You will hear 4 cuts on the hour-long version and the 2 minutes episodes.
